I worked with Roy McCrohan in Tallahassee for 2 years, coaching youth soccer. He is a very respected youth coach in the area. He is also a very nice person and I consider myself lucky to have known him.
Roy is 6th on the list of all-time appearances as a player at Norwich FC. He also coached in England - I believe he told me it was at Luton Town and Ipswitch Town. He came to the US to coach in the defunct NASL, and was head coach of the Minnesota Kicks in that league. He has also coached with the Clearwater Chargers football club in the Tampa, Florida area, which is one of the most successful in the US.
Please e-mail me if I can provide any additional info. I came across your site while looking up old statistics about Roy. cheers,
Ron Coffman

Kind of insane. I played travel soccer when I younger, till about 19 or so. In 1994, I was 11, my team, the Albany Blitz, played in a tournament in Thomasville, GA. Being young kids, myself and several teammates befriended random people quickly. We stumbled upon and older man with an English accent and attached ourselves quickly. We found out that he played professional soccer in England, which was really "cool" to all of us. So in between games we invited him to have lunch with our team and parents. He ended up watching us the rest of the tournament when his team wasn't playing. We ended up winning, so maybe he was our good luck charm :) After the tournament we talked with him for awhile and he signed several of our soccer balls..That's the one memory I have of Roy McCrohan. I never looked him up until just now. I'm watching the Copa Sudamericana on Fox right now, and he came to mind somehow. Our team and several of us did get some pictures with him. If I stumble upon them, I'll post them up.
