Hello John,
Thank you for your information, Charles Thomas (Jnr) was my dads older brother, but I didnt know the date of his death, age or burial details.
In return I have information on Sottish McCrohons which you may find useful:
A Geoffrey Dunn McCrohon died 15th may 1919 in Glasgow aged 14yrs, he was grocers message boy. A Daniel Dunn McCrohon died 15th August 1923 in Glasgow aged 1yr 8 months. A John Dunn McCrohon died 21st June 1914 in Glasgow aged 2 yrs. All three had the same parents Geoffrey Dunn McCrohon (listed as a cycle mechanic, metal polisher and army pensioner) and Agnes McCrohon (nee Brown), which I think were your grandparents. Hope you find this useful,
and thanks again.
Karen

Hello Karen and John

Did you know that you are probably related? My Great grandfather was a Charles Thomas McCrohon whose daughter Eva married Joe Rimmer (Mayor of Ellesmere Port), and had two sons, my father Ralph and my uncle Peter (now in Australia). She had a brother Charlie and a sister Nancy, both who lived and stayed in Ellesmere Port. The family had been living in the West Midlands for a couple of generations. Charles Thomas McCrohom was in a Polieceman in Birmingham and he or his father (James I think) was Chief Constable. I had also heard of the Daniel O'Connell connection. I would not be surprised if Geoffrey Dunn McCrohon was a relative.
There is also a family connection to the Cordings in Glasgow in that Charles Thomas junior married Ann Cording (died in Ellesmere Port age 109!) whose relatives moved to Glasgow. She was born in Oakengates, near Telford.
I am also related to the 16 year old Charles Thomas Cording. He was my fathers' second cousin.
Incidentally my brother is John McCrohon Rimmer.

Good hunting,

Peter Rimmer (Livingston)
